Mallalli Falls, which is situated in the foothills of Pushpagiri, is known as one of the most beautiful water falls in Coorg. The origin of the fall lies at the point where Kumaradhara River takes plunge over 200 feet. Monsoon season is the best time to visit the fall, when water rises high and flows with full speed.Pushpagiri, at 1,712 metres, is the highest peak in Pushpagiri Wildlife Sanctuary in the Western Ghats of Karnataka. It is located in the Somwarpet Taluk, 20 kilometres from Somwarpet in the northern part of Kodagu district on the border between Dakshina Kannada and Kodagu district and hassan districts

MALLALLI FALLS: Formed by Kumaradhara River, Mallali Falls drops down from a height of 200 feet and is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Coorg. The Kumaradhara River later flows through Kukke Subrahmanya and merges with the Netravati River at Uppinangadi, which then empties into the Arabian Sea at Mangalore. The surroundings of the waterfall provide a spectacular view of green forest, valleys and mountain ranges.
PUSHPAGIRI HILLS / SANCTUARY – TREK: The trekking starts from the forest checkpoint at the base of Pushpagiri Hills, after Heggadamane village. The Pushpagiri peak is about 7 km from the Check Post and takes about 3-4 hours one way (moderate to difficult level) through thick forest, wet grasslands & some rocky terrain. There is a small temple at the peak dedicated to Kumara Swamy. It is possible to return on the same day if you wish to visit only Pushpagiri peak.
