VIVEKANANDA ROCK MEMORIAL: The magnificent Vivekananda Rock Memorial is located on a small island off Kanyakumari. It is situated on one of the two adjacent rocks projecting out of the Lakshadweep Sea and comprises of the ‘Shripada Mandapam’ and the ‘Vivekananda Mandapam’. THIRUVALLUVAR STATUE: Dedicated to the accomplished philosopher and poet Thiruvalluvar, this beautiful statue finds itself on a small island near Kanyakumari. Thiruvalluvar was the author of a legendary work in the world of Literature, Tirukkural, the classic Tamil text. In his devotion, the work for the statue started in 1990 and continued till 1999, during the year in which the figure finally got completed.

THANUMALAYAN TEMPLE-STHANUMALAYAN KOVIL: The current temple was built in the 17th century and is famous for its sculptures. It was previously controlled by the Nambudiris, one of the main Namboodiri families called the Thekkumon Madam. The main deity of the temple is Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma in a single form called Sthanumalyam.This 17th-century temple is famous for its architectural grandeur. The seven-storey white Gopuram is visible from the distance. Its 40 m facade is covered with sculptures of Hindu deities.

GANDHI MANDAPAM: Gandhi has close connections with Kanyakumari, and perhaps these associations rendered it necessary to construct a memorial in his memory in this place. Mahatma Gandhi visited Kanyakumari twice in his lifetime, once in 1925 and then later on in 1937. After his tragic assassination in January 1948, when his body was cremated, his ashes were brought to Kanyakumari to be immersed in the Triveni Sea on February 12, 1948.

OUR LADY RANSOM CHRUCH: Our Lady of Ransom Church is a famous Catholic Church that is located in the Kanyakumari District of Tamil Nadu and was built in dedication to Mother Mary. A brilliant example of Gothic architecture, the church was built during the 15th century and looks breathtakingly beautiful against the blue lashing waves of the ocean behind it. The gold cross on the central tower of the church further adds beauty and charm to this magnificent structure, and its beauty and tranquillity are what attract people the most.

SUNSET POINT: A must visit place for every visitor to Kanyakumari, the Sunset Point is the confluence of three ocean bodies: the Bay of Bengal, the Indian Ocean, and the Arabian Sea, which is also known as the Triveni Sangam.
