A stone idol of Parshwanatha, about 3.5 metres (11 ft) tall, is installed in the sanctum of this basadi. Here the rare Jain palm leaf manuscripts of 12th century A.D. known as ‘Dhavala texts’ are preserved. This basadi was stolen on 6 July 2013 along with other 15 golden idols.

KARKALA GOMATESHWARA: Karkala is known for its 42 ft (13 m) monolithic statue of Gomateshwara Bahubali, which is believed to have been built around 1432 and is the second-tallest statue in the State.The statue is built on an elevated platform on top of a rocky hill. It was consecrated on 13 February 1432 by Veera Pandya Bhair Arasa Wodeyar, scion of the Bhair Arasa dynasty , feudatory of the Vijayanagar Ruler.

HEBRI SEETHA FALLS: In the midst of it- a thick jungle, a world so away from civilization- there lies this scenic waterfall called the Hebri Seetha falls about 42km from Udupi in the coastal state of Karnataka, India. It lies in a very small town called Hebri, en route from Udupi to Agumbe. Lying at the foot of the Western Ghats of India, this place is splendid with evergreen forests and beautiful landscape. Somewhere buried deep inside this Ghats section was this majestic 300ft waterfall.

AGUMBE SUNSET POINT: Sunset Point, also known as the Sunset View Point, is located on one of the highest peaks of the Western Ghats and provides views of the setting sun on the horizon of the Arabian Sea. This point is situated at the 14th hair-pin bend of the mountainous road that leads to Agumbe. It can be reached by a 10 minute walk from Agumbe village.

THOUSAND PILLER JAIN TEMPLE: Moddbidri or Moodabidri has 18 Jain temples. The most famous among them is the Thousand Pillars temple. Situated in the center of the town, this temple is also called Saavira Kamabada Basadi and Tribhuvana Tilaka Chudamani Basadi. This temple is dedicated to the 8th Theerthankara Chandranatha. The temple is not under state administration and it is managed by a Jain Mutt.
