SRIKANTESHWARA TEMPLE NANJANGUD: The Srikanteshwara Temple (also called Nanjundeshwara Temple) is an ancient temple in the Hindu pilgrimage town of Nanjangud in the Karnataka state, Southern India. It is known for the ancient temple of the god Srikanteshwara (another name for the god Shiva, also known as Nanjundeshwara).The Srikanteshwara temple is located in the town on the right bank of river Kapila, a tributary of the Kaveri. GOPALASWAMY HILLS: Himavad Gopalaswamy Betta, is a hill (betta in Kannada) located in the Gundlupete Taluk, Chamarajanagar district of the state of Karnataka, at a height of 1450m India and is extensively wooded. It is also the highest peak in the Bandipur National Park. It lies in the core area of the Bandipur National Park and is frequented by wild life including elephants.
BANDIPUR NATIONAL PARK: Bandipur National Park, an 874-sq.-km forested reserve in the southern Indian state of Karnataka, is known for its small population of tigers. Once the private hunting ground of the Maharajas of Mysore, the park also harbors Indian elephants, spotted deer, gaurs (bison), antelopes and numerous other native species. The 14th-century Himavad Gopalaswamy Temple offers views from the park’s highest peak.
